The Establishment of Chinese Branch

　The Chinese Branch of International Association on Mechanization of Field Experiments was founded on October 20th,1994. It is also the Specialized Committee on Field Experiments Mechanization of the Chinese Socity of Agricultural Engineering. It is a communication channel of academic and personnel between domestic and foreign, and a carrier of studing and promoting the field experiments machinery and technique, and a good place where the breeding experts and the mechanical experts cooperate.

The history of IAMFE

　 The International Association on Mechanization of Field Experiments was founded in 1964 in Norway. In the recent 40 years, 13 international academic conference and exhibition which were sponsored by IAMFE were held successively. It is a good place for breeding experts and mechanical experts, academic societies and companies to exchange.The develepment achievements of IAMFE in recent 40 years have played an important role in resolving food crisis and ensuring food safety. The founder and former president of IAMFE, Professor Egil Øyjord was awarded international peace medal by USA United culture meeting in 2000 year, and then he won Norway King gole medal in 2005.

　 Professor Egil Øyjord show special favor to China. He was invited to give lecture in China Agricultural University in 1983,and he surpported to organize a international conference in Beijing in 1994, and the Chinese branch of IAMFE was founded with the his help after the conference. He also applied Norway Royal research fund to surpport the field experiments machinery research in China, and 35 Chinese scholars were send out to Norway to investigate and study plot mechanization. He said,if the grain question of China was resolved, the grain question of world would be resolved well. Professr Egil Øyjord is our respected teacher in academic, and he also is our good friend in emotion. Our IAMFE is a warm big family.
